Goodstart Early Learning Wishart is in a family friendly suburb, close to major shopping centres, public transport and further educational services. This centre has been a member of the Goodstart family for approximately ten years. We have recently received the Award for Excellence in Health and Safety, for demonstrating outstanding performance and commitment, to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy childcare environment for all children, staff and visitors. Among other accolades we have received, are certificates for "Best Notice Boards" for families, "Best Sleep Room" for the Babies and " Best Overall Presentation".

We received a playground renovation in 2007, which modified our facility to incorporate both a stimulating, well equipped outdoor play arena and the features of a natural environment. This is a welcomed feature to centre visitors.

We cater for children aged between 6 weeks and 6 years within the centre daily, with the added service of Before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care programming for children aged 5 years to 12 years. This service includes a centre bus that allows for safe drop off and pick up to our local schools, and exciting excursion opportunities during the holiday periods. The schools that we cater for are Mansfield State Primary School and Wishart State Primary School, which are both just minutes away.

Our centre strives to provide a high level of parent input, feedback and involvement. Our job is to support parents in their primary care-giving role. We feel that we best nurture this whilst including families regularly through attendance to shows, celebratory morning teas, sharing of family skills and talents and programming requests and ideas into our daily activities and routines.

The staff at Goodstart Early Learning Wishart are well trained and established, with the majority of them having been at the centre for approximately 4 years to 8 years. We believe that consistency in passionate staff is imperative, to maintaining a successful business as well as a nurturing play based learning environment, with high quality practises.

We would like to encourage interested families, to come and participate in a centre tour, gain an understanding of our flexible daily routine and experience our multicultural curriculum inclusion.

Come and see a centre like no other.
Stephanie Kennedy
My name is Stephanie Kennedy. I have worked at Goodstart Early Learning Wishart for approximately ten years and have been the Centre Director for four years. I hold my Diploma in Children's Services and currently, through external study, am undertaking the Advanced Diploma in Children's Services. I am both privileged and proud to be a member of this "amazing" team and High Quality Centre.

My image of a child is ceaselessly changing and evolving, as new aspects arise from the children with which I work. I understand the children's need to express themselves, as knowledgeable individuals, who create their own theories and experiences in the world around them. The terms in which they learn are completely their own, as they are able to embrace and welcome the value of play.

Within my vision, is to ensure every child is provided with a safe, happy and stimulating environment that promotes a passion for engaging in play and learning.

I also believe that the same applies to my staff. I  maintain that providing an atmosphere of individual respect, personal and professional development, stimulation, security and enjoyment is imperative, to the consistency and success of a well driven team. I ensure all staff are committed to the culture of ongoing improvement, as it is through learning we grow. It is through experiences like these, we actually take a leaf out of the children's book.
