The staff here at Goodstart Early Learning West Kempsey treat  the children, their families as well as work colleagues as their own family. 

Several of the staff have been here since we opened in 2005, Kylee, Carley and Raelee. Our other staff members, Vicki, Kaylie, Lyn, Jill, Trish, Sally were once our casuals and they fitted in so well they joined us permanently.  Mel joined our team in 2009 and she is Early childhood trained. Our Cook, May supports us with providing nutritious meals and is also Head of Kempsey SES . 

We work together with parents to provide a fun and exciting environment where the children can learn the skills they need to develop. 

We have developed a partnership with the local primary schools and library where the children visit regularly.  Also, the students from the local school come and read to the Pre-school children. 

Parents and staff participate in local events such as “Celebrate Macleay”, “Relay for Life” and Kempsey Cup. Discos, Sausage Sizzles, Christmas Party's and Graduation are other events organised to broaden the bond and bring us closer together as a family and community.

Hi, my name is Karin Roberts and I have been at Goodstart Early Learning West Kempsey since it opened in 2005.  Originally I was the Nursery Room Leader.  At the end of 2006 I took on the role of Centre Director.

I have worked in the childcare industry for nearly 21 years.  In that time I have gained my Associate Diploma in Child Studies and then up graded to the Diploma later on.

I believe families need to feel part of their child's learning, I encourage them to share in their child's learning experiences.

I believe that the staff and I work together with the parents to ensure that the program which we promote is relevant to each family's individual needs.

I believe myself to be sympathetic to the  needs of families and ensure the welfare of the children attending our centre.My training and work experiences ensure excellent knowledge of the requirements that govern early childhood. 

All staff at Goodstart Early Learning West Kempsey endeavour to meet the needs of all our families.
