Goodstart Early Learning Warragul Burke Street is a purpose built centre that was designed for the comfort and safety of children.

We cater for the needs of up to 70 children each day, and are lucky to have five separate rooms to accommodate them. We cater for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, and also provide before and after school care and a vacation care program.

We offer a Nursery that we call the 'Gumnuts', that caters for children up to 18 months. The Nursery also has a separate sleep room. The 'Acacia' room caters for children aged 15 months to 2 years.  The 'Wattle' room caters for ages 2 to 3 years. And we have two separate Kinder rooms for 3 to 4 year olds and 4 to 5 year olds.

In all rooms we use age as a guide only -children are placed into the room that best suits their developmental stage and interests. We feel extremely proud to be able offer the community a clean and inviting setting that boasts tranquil rooms in a natural environment. Our programs are developed by qualified staff and incorporate the Early Years Learning Framework to meet each individual child’s needs and interests.

As well as a chef to prepare fresh nutritional meals, our centre boasts large natural outdoor spaces, a parent lounge, friendly staff trained in children’s services and first aid, and our very special neighbours in the paddocks - the cows!!!

Through out the year we host fun activities such as special person’s day, graduation and our Christmas party where everyone is invited.

Come down, meet the team and see the centre - you won’t be disappointed!
Michelle Jones
Centre Director
Hi my name is Michelle Jones and I feel very proud to introduce myself as the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Warragul North.  My career in childcare started 11 years ago when I commenced my trainee-ship at a private centre to obtain my Diploma in Children’s Services. I worked at the centre for eight years as a Room Leader, then as Centre Director until moving to the Latrobe Valley in 2007.

My journey with Goodstart Early Learning began at that time and I have never looked back!  I feel privileged to be working in an industry that lets me meet and share in the lives of so many special people. And now that we have transitioned over to GoodStart - a not for profit organisation - the future looks even brighter for Goodstart Early Learning.

My personal philosophy is one that has been formed from my own beliefs and experiences. I believe that my role as a Centre Director is to provide the children, families and wider community with a high quality service that offers a clean and stimulating environment; one where staff and families can work together in providing the best possible care for their children in a safe atmosphere.
