Goodstart Early Learning Hendra has multi-cultural names for its seven rooms and we believe that with the vast array of cultures within the community it is only fitting.
We have Bambino room which is Italian for babies, Phulbari (Toddlers) which is Nepalese for Garden a Place to grow, Jardin (Nursery 2) which is Spanish for Garden a Place to grow, Whanau (Pre-kindy) which is maori for family, Alofa (Junior Preschool) which is Samoan for love. We also have our Pre Prep 1 and Pre Prep 2 rooms which are located in the Preschool House building.Our centre is spacious and full of fun and exciting natural resources and play equipment to stimulate young minds.
Goodstart Early Learning Hendra prides itself on the genuine and nurturing relationships that educator's have with children and their families.Here at Goodstart Early Learning Hendra we offer two Kindergarten programs which are funded by the Queensland Government.
We have a wonderful Early Childhood teacher who develops comprehensive school readiness programs for these rooms.The staff here at Goodstart Early Learning Hendra either have their Cert III in Children's Services and studying towards their diploma or they have a Bachelor of Early Childhood.
Goodstart Early Learning Hendra bases its program on the emergent curriculum, with this we also take the reggio emilia approach to teaching and learning where we value children as life long learners, and we encourage children to be active participants in their own learning and development.
At Goodstart Early Learning Hendra we provide all meals throughout the day. We have a qualified cook who prepares us delicious and nutritious meals.We promote an open door policy where all parents and families are able to come and have a chat at any time.We look forward to caring and nurturing for all of the wonderful children within the community.
