Hi, my name is Vicky. I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Early Learning Deer Park. I have my Diploma in Children's Services and I have been a Centre Director for five years, and have been working in childcare for 11. I enjoy working with children and becoming a part of their lives, as well as getting to know the families, on an individual basis.
I am a parent myself and therefore know how important it is to educate children and allow them to become individuals and confident in themselves. I have a great team of educators working with me.
My philosophy is I believe all children should be treated as equals. All children have individual needs, and should be treated accordingly. All children should feel safe and secure in the environment they are in.
Children should feel that they are able to express themselves, without judgement from other children and educators. Children should be treated as individuals and therefore, their learning abilities should be based on their individual skills. Children should be made to feel that they are able to try most things, and feel confident in their achievements.All children are different, and each child has his / her own qualities, therefore educators should display a high quality of patience to assist children while they are in their care.
