Parking details

Parking We have parking at the front of centre. There is also shared parking with the medical centre next door that will require a code to enter though the gate.
Our centre is located in a very friendly and central location, joined by shops, schools, doctors and hospitals. We have wide spacious rooms allowing us to offer a variety of activities.

Our large outdoor environment with natural fig trees allows the children plenty of space to run around, ride bikes and explore a multitude of learning experiences. The playground looks out to a large, quiet parkland which enhances the peace and serenity of the centre.

At our centre our goals are to give children a sense of self worth by helping them develop at their own individual pace while learning basic life skills. We aim to create an environment where the children will feel confident and secure enough to explore and grow.

We believe that play enables the young learner to make sense of their environment and is the essential ingredient in our programs.

Play is not only a child's unique way of learning about their world, but also their way of learning about themselves and how they fit into their world, building on familiar knowledge and deepening their understanding through the recurring cycle of learning that is essential to development.

Our Teachers pride themselves on delivering a learning experience like no other including Emotional Development, Physical Development, Language Skills, Cognitive Development and Social Development. They work hard to ensure strong and meaningful relationships are formed with both peers and teachers.

At Goodstart Early Learning Benowa your child will experience activities and play in group settings. We also offer individualised programs for the children. We observe and plan experiences to enhance your child's natural abilities and learning.  We provide high quality care and education, and extra curricular activities such as dancing, gardening, tennis and computer skills.

We thrive on our centre’s involvement with families, allowing them join us in our activities, celebrating special occasions and our cultural days. Each child receives a scrapbook full of photos and artwork that they have done throughout the year. Our families enjoy coming together at our Christmas Party to celebrate at the end of each year. Child care is not intended to replace parental care, but to enhance the child's life experience while separated from the parents. We are committed to promoting and supporting all aspects of a child's growth in an atmosphere of respect. Your child is an individual who is an integral member of a group, and whose uniqueness is acknowledged and appreciated by everyone here at Goodstart Early Learning Benowa.
Louise Lappeman
Centre Director
My name is Louise Lappeman and I am proud to have been the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Benowa since September 2005. I completed my Advance Diploma through the National Institute of Early Childhood Education in 2008. I first started at the centre in 1994 and since then have enjoyed working with all age groups and staff. I pride myself on having the centre feel welcoming and inviting to all members of our community.

I believe that early childhood is a time to learn about life. It is a journey of adventure and discovery, a time for fun and laughter and a time for children to develop their own understandings of the world and their place in it.

My personal philosophy commences with the family being a fundamental unit of society. In the position I hold as a Child Care Worker I believe in recognising the importance of a warm, friendly and caring environment, which reflects individual and cultural diversity for everyone. Each and every child is individual with unique needs.

I aim to provide loving, nurturing and quality care in a safe and hygienic environment.

Being an integral part of our positive team allows me to help develop a stimulating and challenging program. This program exposes the children to a creative experience that will allow them to gain self-esteem and a concept of their self that is vital to their develop individuality and self respect.

I believe by constantly reviewing the program the children will be ensured extensive experiences and age appropriate activities that will fulfil all areas of development.

By respecting regulations I will be able to continue providing a safe and healthy environment in which will produce happy and secure children and adults of the future.
